Brandy S. Propst, M.Ed.
Scholar-Practitioner. Speaker. Consultant.
Brandy is an energetic and experienced scholar-practitioner with a passion for creating socially just spaces and disrupting/dismantling oppressive structures and practices within colleges and universities that prohibit students, faculty, and staff from being authentic and successful in higher education. With 15 years of experience in functional areas within student affairs, academic affairs, and enrollment management, she has created and implemented high-impact programs through strategic planning, cross-divisional collaborations, and comprehensive assessments. I currently work in Academic Affairs as director of an integrated Advising and First Year Experience/Seminar program for a medium, private, liberal arts institution in the southeastern United States.
Brandy is very ambitious and strategic in developing her skills as a scholar-practitioner through scholarly publications, conducting research on specific trends and populations in higher education, active involvement in professional associations, conference presentations, and seeking out professional development opportunities to enhance her professional competencies.
In addition to her professional interests, Brandy has been recognized on the state, regional, and national levels for my contributions to the higher education as a new professional and in the area of first-year experience.
She also mentors, coaches and/or consults graduate students and professionals in higher education and student affairs in the areas of professional development, mentorship, supervision, and navigating the socialization of higher education.
